The Delaware Veterans Trust, Inc., is a nonprofit corporation as defined by the laws of the State of Delaware.


Friends’ board members offer a wealth of experience and serve as advocates and representatives of the fund.

Interview with Dave Skocik, president of the Friends of Delaware Veterans, Inc., the authorized volunteer, pro-bono organization that raises money for the Trust Fund.

On September 17, 2013, Gov. Jack Markell signed HB85, which created the Delaware Veterans Trust Fund under the auspices of the Commission of Veterans Affairs. Companion bill HB 140 created a tax check off for contributors to the fund.

The Trust Fund is administered by the Delaware Commission of Veterans Affairs to assist veterans in financial emergencies.
